Carers Victoria is the statewide voice for family carers, representing and providing support to carers in Victoria.
Recognised and funded as the leading body for carers and caring families in Victoria Carers Victoria provides a range of services and supports to carers including advisory and access services, education, counselling and carer support.
In addition Carers Victoria works in close collaboration with carers, and strategic partners developing new programs and works collaboratively with Carers Australia and the other state and territory based carer associations to represent, advocate and provide carer services on behalf of carers.
Serving and supporting carers throughout the state, Carers Victoria holds free training and education workshops, programs, events and other activities for carers, both in-person and online.
To register for services, carers can contact the Carer Gateway which will refer carers in Western Metropolitan Melbourne to Carers Victoria or carers can contact Carers Victoria directly on 1300 514 845.
Registration for workshops, events and programs can be done online on the Carers Victoria website.
By arrangement, education and training workshops can also be delivered on specific topics for carers and/or staff and volunteers in Neighbourhood Houses or via online teleconferencing.
